Marelle's Challenge

Stampin Up, Upsy Daisy

At our last team meeting there weren't many of us that had things to show so Marelle set us all a challenge. She gave each of us a bag with card stock in it that we had to use in a card before next meeting.

I received an A5 Mellow Moss card for the base and then a smaller piece of chocolate chip & very vanilla card stock and a 1 1/4" circle in Mellow Moss.

Here is my card that I came up with.

Products used
Mellow Moss, chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla Card Stock
Polka Dots, Upsy Daisy & Boho Blossoms Stamp sets
Boho Blossoms & 1 3/8" punches
Ice Rhinestone Brads

Totally Tools

Stampin Up, Totally Tools, Polka Dot

I absolutely love this stamp set. I wanted to get it because it can be very hard to find good male cards.

I had a good play with this stamp set a while ago when I Cased a card from Heather Summers.

My daughter & I went to stay with my brother & his family while Dave was away for a few days. My sister in Law, Luella, is a keen scrapbooker and asked if I could bring a few things with me. I took a lot of products with me including the Totally Tools stamp set to play with.

I came up with these 4 cards.

If you would like to purchase any of the products used in these cards or would like to make these at a stamp a stack, please email me.

Products used
Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Real Red, Not Quite Navy Card Stock
Paper Piercer & Mat Pack
Totally Tools, Upsy Daisy & Polka Dots Stamp Sets

I have been making some cards lately. Some of the creative mojo has been flowing though not as often as I would like.

I've been playing with Pocket Silhouettes which is a lovely little set.

Very Easy Cards

Stampin Up

I made these cards a while ago and have only just been able to take photos of them and get them up on the blog.

These are extremely easy cards as you can see. All I've used is designer paper some ribbon & a sentiment. Very quick cards to make too.

I made these bags to go along with them which was also easy to make.

If you would like to make these cards or purchase any of the products used, please email me.

It's been a long time since my last post

Family

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I can't believe that it has been so long. There has been a bit going on lately with the Wilsons.

I am 30 weeks pregnant and have been sick with the flu twice since my last post. I'm sick right now so haven't felt like doing any stamping. And chasing after a 2 year old hasn't helped either. Lizzie has had me going too so not really helping me rest so that I can get better.

I've even had to cancel some card making classes due to being so sick.

Before I got sick I had been trying to get the inspiration flowing by Casing other demo's cards but the inspiration hasn't come yet. So I have made a number of cards but just nothing that I can take credit for.

I'll try to get some mojo going so that I can hopefully show you something soon.

Matt's 21st Birthday

Stampin Up, Big Bold Birthday Send feedback »

Here is an album I made from Wednesday through to Friday this week. We had a 21st Birthday party to go to today and the birthday "boy" was very hard to buy for so I tried to think outside the square and thought I'd make a photo album to give to him.

Here is the album ...

I used retiring DSP Outlaw which was the most manish paper I had. The idea originally came from my fellow Stampin Up Demo Ruth.

This is the inside of the photo album. I had some trouble locating some interleave for between each of the pages. I did however have a bit of a brainstorm and realised I had some albums that didn't really need the interleave pages cause they were just holding some cards etc. So I pulled them out and was able to use them in the album.

I was so very happy with how the whole album turned out and our friend Matt and his parents liked it very much too.

I then made this card to go with the album and I was really happy with how it all turned out.

Haven't blogged for ages

Hi All

Sorry it has been sooooo very long since I last posted. I've had a few things going on lately. I've been battling morning sickness (or should I say "all day sickness). I'm 15 weeks along and am only just starting to feel more back to normal again.

I haven't made anything lately either but I do have a project coming up for a birthday so I'll show that to you shortly.

Photo Challenge

Family

Sam tagged me to take part in a photo challenge. What you have to do is go into your photos, to the 6th folder and then the 6th photo and post that on your blog, telling the story behind it!

This photo is of my husband, Dave, doing the edges at our place.

I took it because I had asked him if he had safety goggles to wear and he pulled out his skiing goggles because that was all he had. I don't think he'll appreciate that I've put this up but that was the challenge. Enjoy!

Now I'm meant to choose 6 other people to take part ... hmmmmm

Bali Breeze

Stampin Up, Embrace Life

I've made some cards with the Bali Breeze designer paper.

I will be running a class with these 3 card designs. In the class you will make 12 cards (4 designs) plus a box to hold them all in.

Email me today if you would like to do this class and I can give you some more details.

Blog Award

Stampin Up

It is very flattering to receive an award and I want to thank Sam for nominating me.

I'm meant to nominate blogs as well but all the blogs that I would have nominated have already been nominated.

So I will accept the nomination with thanks.

Stationary Box

Stampin Up, Embrace Life, Baroque Motifs 1 feedback »

I first saw this Stationary Box on this website and I saw it on another Demo's website, Marelle Taylor, who is also my "Up Upline" and she converted the inches to cm's and also made it slightly wider to accomodate our C6 Envelopes and cards.

I knew I wanted to make it as soon as I saw it and when I had a free saturday I decided I would make it.

Here it is closed

Here it is open

And inside I have 4 standard sized cards, 4 note cards, a pen with DSP inside, a place to put postage stamps and a little book that can be used for addresses or gift lists etc.

I have also since made some tags to go inside too.

The papers are from the Secret Garden Simply Scrappin Kit and the stamps are Baroque Motifs, Embrace Life & the Live Your Dream stamp sets. The last two sets are from the Summer Mini.

Cherish

Stampin Up, Baroque Motifs

Sorry I haven't posted for sooooo long. I have had a few things happening lately and just haven't sat down to update the blog.

I realised today that it has been well over a month since my last post. So I thought I would dig out some older cards that I'd made.

These cards used the stamp set Baroque Motifs. It is one of the most elegant stamp sets, in my opinion. The Designer paper used is Spring Silhouettes and Card used was Very Vanilla, Certainly Celery, Sky Blue & Wild Wasabi. All these colour are in the DSP that I used. I also used some of the frames from the Antique Gold Hodge Podge set.

Card Folder & Matching Cards

Stampin Up

I sat down yesterday and made up 4 cards for a friend while my Lizzie was having her sleep. I was really happy with how they turned out.

The products used were all Stampin' Up!
Sahara Sand CS
Pretties Kit
Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon from the Spring Mini - ends 30th November.
Bali Breeze DSP & Flower Fusion both are from the new Summer Mini starts 1st December.

Here is the Card holder I made today to go with the cards...

I used the lovely Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon on the card holder.

I saw this tutorial and changed the measurements to suit our A4 card stock.

If you would like to order any of these products, just email me.

If you would like some of the satin ribbon, let me know as I do have a couple of ribbon packs with approx 2m each of chocolate chip & purely pomegranate ribbon in the pack. I also have a couple of shares of the "Pretties Kit" if you would like some of the beautiful flowers that I used on these cards.

My New and Improved Craft Space

Stampin Up, Family

I have a new and improved craft space now. I had just a table that we picked up from Bunnings and I had quite a lot on the table. I also had some plastic drawers which hold a lot but when you have a fair bit of craft supplies they fill up very quickly.

I asked my hubby if he could build me a couple of shelves which he did a couple of weeks ago.

So here it is ...

I now have two shelves. One holds my stamps, catalogues, simply sent kits, stampin scrubs and cards I've made. It also had a couple of hooks to hold some rods which I've put my ribbon on.

The other shelf holds some ribbon packs, envelopes and a couple of projects I've made. This shelf could be utilised a lot better but haven't quite done that yet.

The table has my 12x12 DSP & papers, a tools caddy, storage container, punches, stamp pads & trimmers.

It may not look like I have a lot of space to stamp on but considering our dinning table is right next to me on the right, I have a fair bit of space. I did only have the space of an A3 sheet of paper originally which would fill up very quickly.

I am very happy with my space now.

Not bad for a family of 3 who horde things and live in a 3 bedroom townhouse!

Colour Inspiration Challenge

There is a new Colour Inspiration Challenge over at Krisina's Blog. Here is her inspiration...

This was quite challenging for me as the colours are out of my comfort zone. I also didn't have any Pacific Point C/S (a new In Color for 09/10) so I had to improvise and use something that was as close as I could make it.

I decided to use the One of a Kind stamp set from the Spring Mini. So here is the card that I made.

I used Elegant Eggplant as the base and stamped the large flower from One of a kind on the background with white ink. I also stamped the small flower in Eggplant ink on the base card too. I scalloped the Taken with Teal Card using my Slit punch to get some big scallops. I wrapped some Striped Pumpkin Pie Ribbon around the Teal card and then tied a couple of knots onto the striped ribbon with some Pumpkin Pie ribbon. On the Whisper White Card I stamped one of the flowers in Teal ink & with Eggplant ink but stamped off before stamping on the White Card so it wasn't too overpowering. I stamped the word in Pumpkin ink and then added some dimensionals on the back of the white to lift it a bit.

I was inspired by this card by Marelle.

Enjoy!

Waterfall Scrapbooks

Stampin Up

I've joined UStamp which is really good. You get lots of projects for only $25 Canadian. Mentioning that you were referred by me gets me in a draw for a free entry into the next UStamp.

This is one of the projects that was uploaded on their website. On the bottom right side of the scrapbook is a tab that you pull and all the pages flip over as you pull it out. I've included a photo of it closed and of it opened completely.

As this first one was a bit of a test I decided to make it into my daughters prayer book with members of our family stuck in it. It isn't something that she'll be able to just look through by herself just yet being only 17 mths old. So my husband or I sit with her when she looks through it.

This was the first one I did as a bit of a trial run. I didn't use any SU products on this project, just what I had that I knew I should use at some stage.

Then I did this one using the Confetti Simply Scrappin' Kit by Stampin' Up!. I've included a photo with one of the pages just about to turn over - not sure if you can see that or not in this photo. It is much better in real life.

If you would like to make your own Waterfall Scrapbook, email me and I'll organise a class.

I hope you like them both.

Big Team Meeting

Stampin Up, Season of Joy

We had our big team meeting yesterday and we were asked to bring along a Christmas idea to show. I whipped this one up really quickly.

This box is the same as the triangle box using an A5 piece of Card Stock, however I cut the card stock length wise instead so that the box would be taller rather than fatter.

Colour Inspiration #25

Stampin Up, Wild About You, Colour Inspiration Challenge

I can't believe its been so long since I have completed one of these challenges.

These colours are so lovely. Here's where Kristina found her inspiration.

I made my card using the Wild About You & A Little Birthday Cheer stamp sets. I also used the spiral punch which I really love using.

I also added a bit of Whisper White into the mix.

.

I really like how this card turned out. The colours just instantly made me think of the Wild About You stamp set for a child's birthday card.

I hope you like it
