Brocade Background Album

Stampin Up Send feedback »

I've been creating this week. I've been home and my craft space has been reasonably accessible mainly cause I cleaned up!

I also had my World Card Making Day on Wednesday. I know WCMD isn't till tomorrow but I'm not available tomorrow so I made it earlier. It was also good as some of my friends are teachers and being school holidays it meant that they could come too.

Here is the Album I made on Wednesday for WCMD - I know its an album and not a card - I figure as long as your crafting it counts :)

I used the Brocade Background DSP on the covers; Chocolate Chip & River Rock CS; Chocolate Chip wide grosgrain ribbon; Baroque Motifs stamp set; and finally some hodge podge to add that little something extra.

If you like any of these products and would like to order them, just send me an email

Team Meetings

Stampin Up

I just love our team meetings. There are two that I can go to. One is my Upline's Upline (if that makes sense) Marelle holds one for all her downlines which is a big group of us - unfortunately I don't get to that meeting as much as I would like. The other meeting is my Upline, Karen, who has one for all her downlines. There are a group of 5 of us at the moment and it is good fun.

We had our meeting on the 22nd Sept and we made a photo album each. Ruth, one of the other girls showed us all how to make them.

Here is mine. I used the Spring Break DSP and used a new stamp set which will be available in the Christmas mini from December. I also used some hodgepodge Old Olive Wide Grosgrain and Blue Bayou Double Stitched Ribbon.

Don't you just love how the stamp matches so perfectly with the DS paper? It just all came together so well. I was really pleased with how it came out... can you tell? :)

Here's what we made the time before. Kirrily did this make and take for us back in August. We used Blue Bayou & Soft Sky Card Stock, along with Blue Bayou Double Stitched Ribbon. The stamp set is Always from the spring mini Catalogue.

If you liked any of the above projects and would like to make them yourself, please email me and I can organise it for you.

UStamp Box

Stampin Up

I joined the UStamp that two Demo's in America & Canada organised. I have received over 10 projects and here are a couple of them. They have just announced that they are doing a Christmas one too which is the UStamp 08 Holidays which is "The 12 Gifts of the Holidays"!!!!! Here is the link if you would like to be part of the next one. For the cost it is so worth the money and you don't even have to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator to do it.

This little box was so fun to make.

This next one was only 1 of 4 things in the project that was sent through. In the project was CD holder (seen below), gift sack, storage containers & a little pouch.

The DS paper is Summer Picnic and the Cherries stamp is from Tart and Tangy. Both products are from the Spring Mini Catalogue. I also used Real Red Cardstock and Real Red Striped Ribbon.

The DS paper is Holiday Harmony and the Snow Flake is from Season of Joy. Again both of these products are from the Spring Mini Catalogue. I used Always Artichoke CS and Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon.

If you would like any of these products please email me.

And finally, here is the Brag Book. I used the Palette 'O' Prints DSP for this one and used the corresponding colours, Almost Amethyst; Certainly Celery; Rose Red; So Saffron.

This is the Brag Book closed

Here it is opened up fully - you can see that there are 3 sections to it. The white parts are envelopes and you can also see the tabs on the sides. They are attached to C/S which pulls out and you can put photos on them or whatever you would like to brag about.

And finally you can see the pull outs in this photo.

I hope you enjoyed these.

Tart and Tangy

Stampin Up, Tart & Tangy

Hi

I was checking out some other websites and realised that it has been a VERY LONG time since I last posted here. Sorry about that if you've been checking back.

I'm about to catch up...

Here are some cards I made a while ago but am only just posting them now.

I so liked this set when I saw lots of the US demo's using it and was so excited when it turned up in our spring mini catalogue. You can buy product from the spring mini till the 30th November, so let me know if you would like to buy anything.

The Designer Series Paper I have used is also from the Spring Mini. It is Summer Picnic DSP.
If you would like any of the products that I've used in these cards, feel free to contact me and I can place an order for you.

CIC # 17

Stampin Up, Colour Inspiration Challenge

I decided not to take part in the last CIC cause I was fairly busy with workshop prep. But my order from the weekend arrived today and I had a few things I wanted to play with so have come up with a scrap page instead of a card. I like how its turned out.

Here's what I came up with

The colours were Regal Rose, Rose Red, Sage Shadow and Whisper White. I used Sage Shadow CS with some Rose Red DSP and Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain Ribbon. And using the hat pin and some beads for a little something extra. I stamped in sage shadow the little flowers from Baroque Motif Stamp set and used my crystal effects for the centre of the flower. Using my Word Window I punched out the details of when the photo was taken.

And here's a close up of the hatpin with the beads

And finally, here is the dress that insiried Kristina for the colour inspiration challenge. Don't you just love the colours and this dress is gorgeous.

Hope you like it.

Been a bit busy lately

Family

Hi all

Sorry its been a while since I posted last. I have been busy organising workshops. I had 2 workshops on the weekend. Thankfully my husband is very supportive and he was able to look after our 15 month old on Friday night and all day saturday so I could do the workshops and then get all the paperwork completed after I got home again.

I've also had a couple of stamp a stack nights.

"Simply" Kits

Stampin Up

Here are a few things I've made with some of Stampin' Up! kits.

These cards have been made with the Simply Scrappin' Kit "Confetti" It is a lovely bright scrapbook kit with textured card stock, Designer Series Papers & Self Adhesive Die cuts. I've used two stamp sets with these cards. (A little Birthday Cheer & Circle of Friendship). I do need to mention that I got these designs from Andrea Walford. I didn't have the stamp sets that she uses so needed to improvise with what I did have.

The above cards were made with the Simply Sent Kit "Sending Happy Thoughts" - These kits are great if you don't know where to start if you wanted to get into card making. These kits give you everything you need to make about 10 cards. (Some kits make more cards)

If you would like to order any of these kits just email me.

Krisitna's CIC 15

Stampin Up, Colour Inspiration Challenge

Kristina posted a Colour Inspiration Challenge today which I decided to take part in (I know your not surprised by that cause I've been doing them for a while now)

Here's the photo that that has inspired her in the CIC

The colours are Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Really Rust, Certainly Celery & Whisper White.

Here's my card.

As soon as I saw the challenge, one set came to mind - "One of a Kind" and the Boho Blossoms Punch. It also gave me the opportunity to use this new stamp of mine. This set is in our new spring mini catalogue.

I used Whisper White & Really Rust CS and used Certainly Celery & Chocolate Chip Ink pads and close to cocoa & Really Rust markers (cause I don't have these pads) I stamped the Boho Blossoms stamp twice each colour and also stamped the big florally stamp in certainly celery ink. Cut &/or punched these all out. I also used my 3/16 corner rounder with the cover off so that I could do a scallop edge on both sides of a piece of whisper white CS. I did this to try to pick up the stitching on the quilt and pillow. I used two diffent sizes of dimensionals & double sided tape to give more depth to the card.

I hope you like the card - I had fun making this one and am happy with how it turned out. I don't get picked for the top ten but have fun every week doing these challenges as it stretches my creativity.

CIC #14

Stampin Up, Baroque Motifs, Colour Inspiration Challenge

I'm back with another challenge from Kristina. This one was a bit of a challenge as there wasn't a lot of colour from the photo itself however Kristina threw in the River Rock & Ruby Red for a bit of colour. The other colours are Basic Black, Going Gray & Basic Gray.

Here is the photo ...

I used all Basic Black, Going Gray, Basic Gray & Rose Red cards stock with some River Rock double stitched ribbon. The stamp set I used was Baroque Motifs and the Happy Holidays was from All year cheer 2 all the cardstock, stamps & ribbon are from Stampin Up. I used my versa mark and then embossed with silver embossing powder. The card has the fold at the top so it can be displayed easier.

And here is my card ...

In her post, Kristina mentions to find a bold/sassy phrase and let it "scream" at us. Well this was the boldest stamp I have in my collect at the moment!

I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

CIC # 13

Stampin Up, Colour Inspiration Challenge

A new colour Inspiration challenge #13.

Here's the picture where Kristina found her inspiration

Here's my interpretation for the challenge.

I'm not overly happy with it so I might make another card tomorrow - but for now it is getting late and I need to get to bed.

Team Meeting

Stampin Up

My upline, Karen, had a team meeting for all her downlines. It was good to get to know the other ladies a bit better.

Karen also brought along a make and take for us, so we made that too and just chatted about upcoming events and shared things we'd made recently which I took along my card box from my previous post.

Here's the card we made

I think I'll use this idea for some christmas cards. Christmas is only 6 months away so I'd better get cracking :)

If you'd like to check out the websites to some of my "sisters" I've listed them below.

Card Box

Stampin Up

I made this box a couple of weeks ago. I saw on Split Coast stampers and also on Andrea Walford's site a decorated Provo Lunch tin and liked the idea so decided to decorate one myself. Here it is...

Colour Inspiration Challenge #12

Stampin Up, Garden Whimsy, Colour Inspiration Challenge

We've been away this past week in our countries capital for Dave's work and so I have only just been able to finish a card and upload it before heading out again.

The CIC#12 was up this week on Kristina's site with the colours Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi & So Saffron. The photo that inspired her was this one.

I had been working through different ideas for the card since I didn't have the colours so couldn't put any ideas into action. I knew I wanted to do this type of bow and wanted to use the tulip from the garden whimsey set and then the rest all just came together. I hope you like it.

While in Canberra ...

Stampin Up, Heartfelt Thanks

While I was in Canberra with my husband and daughter this past week I made a couple of cards. I wanted to work on some cards for an upcoming workshop for a friend and she asked for Bold Brights. Here are the two cards I made - obviously very similar but I liked the way they turned out.

Another card for Kristina's Challenge

Stampin Up, Family, Colour Inspiration Challenge

I decided to make another card for Kristina's Colour Inspiration Challenge. I have made this card for my niece who turns 2. You can see my first card that I made in the previous post.

I hope you like it.

Kristina's Colour Inspiration #11

Stampin Up, Colour Inspiration Challenge

I made this card during my stamp a stack night tonight (see the previous post for more cards I made for my stamp a stack night).

Here is Kristina's inspirational photo and the colours are Rose Red, Old Olive, So Saffron, Whisper White & Basic Gray.

In my card I used the Classic Stars Jumbo roller with Rose Red ink on Whisper white CS. I then just added a strip each of Old Olive, Rose Red & So Saffron and stamped the cake using my markers to colour the different sections and then used my pastels to colour in.

I hope you like it.

Stamp a Stack night

Stampin Up

I had my first Stamp a stack night tonight. I had a few things planned that the girls could make if they wanted to or they could just have fun and create whatever they wanted. They chose a couple of cards to make from something I had made and they also just created their own.

Here's a photo of all their creative cards.

I made these few cards for the night and also during the night.

And finally I made this card for my niece who's turning 13 at the end of July. I was really happy with how it turned out. The number 13 are Making Memories Ready to Glitter Stickers which I ordered from the US.

CASEd Cards

Stampin Up

I saw these cards and liked them so decided to case them.

I did have to wait for my 1 1/4" punch to arrive today before I finished them, but now that they are finished I'm really happy with how they came out. I think I might even use them for my stamp a stack night that is coming up soon.

And here's a close up of one of the circles.

Colour Inspiration Challenge #10

Stampin Up, Colour Inspiration Challenge

Hi again

Here's a colour inspiration challenge for Kristina Werner's Blog.

Her inspiration came from this photo from Pottery Barn.

The colours translated into SU colours are Old Olive; Bashful Blue; Whisper White; So Saffron & Not Quite Navy.

And here are my cards. I decided to make two. I think they turned out quite well. I had an idea of what I wanted to do with the Not Quite Navy card but the Old Olive card was made on the fly so to speak.

I hope you like them.
