Here is my very first "trifold" card... I think that's what its called anyway. I saw a video tutorial at Chicnscratch. She has lots of tutorials so check them out. The tutorial I watched that inspired me to make this card was under "Card of the week 6". Her name is Angie Kennedy Juda.
I have decided I definitely need a stamp-a-ma-jig from Stampin' Up cause if you can't notice (its very obvious) the "Thank you" is quite crooked - I will try it again and try to get it straighter but just wanted to show this off and say it was my very first "trifold" card which I was still quite proud about.

And since this is a square card I will need to find a square envelope or at least make one!
Kristina Werner has had some colour inspiration challenges and I thought I should try my hand at one. I had all the colours after all so I thought, why not!
Kristina's inspiration came from this room

and she transferred the colours into Stampin' Up colours which are

Orchid Opulence, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White - I did have to add a couple of extra colours cause I couldn't have a bright orange chick so I hope it still counts.
Here is what I came up with...I hope you like it.

Additional note ...
I decided to make another card for the challenge even though I finished it after the allotted time, but here it is.

I just wanted to share with you a couple of projects I have completed lately.
I have scrapbooked for some time but haven't completed anything for a while now as I've been making cards and also been pre-occupied with my little girl.
But here is a project about my little girl. I finished this page "Special Memories" on Friday. I initially completed both of these to enter a competition but not sure if I will now. Maybe I will - just undecided at the moment which seems to be a theme with me lately (not making decisions that is).

This next project is an off the page project. I am going to give this to my mother in law for her birthday or for mothers day and I'll put in some photos of our little Lizzie in it also so she can use it as her brag book.

Let me know what you think of these two projects.
I wanted to show you these cards in particular. The first card is for my darling husband Dave for his 35th Birthday in January. I got the idea for the card from a great website, kwernerdesign.com. You can find the original card here.
Her name is Kristina Werner and she does "Make a Card Monday" segments (MACM) which I love to watch every week. Unfortunately for me I have to wait till Tuesday to see them as she is in the U.S. and I am here downunder. So check out her website, you won't be disappointed.

The second card is for my friend Riette who had her birthday early February and I went with a similar theme to the first one.

...And then finally the third card is for Riette's husband Rick who has his birthday in February as well but at the end. And again along the same theme but changed a fair bit more.

I had some real fun with these cards and just have to say a big thank you to Kristina Werner for the inspiration.
I made this Mothers' Day card. I really like it with the dramatic colours and the simplicity of it.
I used the Stem Silhouettes Stamp set from SU which is a lovely set.

I was checking out some challenges on SCS website and came across a challenge of making Yo Yo Yellow for SU look good. The colours I was meant to use with Yo Yo Yellow were grey which I didn't have so I just had a look at my Colour Coach (also from SU) and came up with these three cards.
I really like them. They are very bright and great for kids birthdays. The stamp set I've used is the Birthday whimsy.

I also found some stars which I thought would be fun to use on a card especially with the Sparkle stamp from the set Warm Words (of course, from Stampin' Up).
A great gift idea. Made from an A4 sheet of card stock - very easy to make. Add some corresponding cards and tie a ribbon at the top and a gift anyone would love!

This card was made at a Stampin' Up party at my friend Riette's place. I ordered the stamp set that is on this card as I really liked it.
I have had a lot of fun making cards lately with all my new products. Dave (my husband) gave me another stamp set and some gold and silver cord for Christmas from Stampin' Up.
Hope you enjoy looking through my cards as much as I've enjoyed making them.
Bye for now.
I had my own Stampin' Up Party on the 24th November, 2007. I had a few of my friends come over which was great and we all were able to do a "Make and Take" which was fun. Here is my make and take...

The following cards were made by Karen my Stampin' Up Demonstrator. She is very talented and when she has a website up I'll put a link on my site for her.

My friend Riette and I went to a card making workshop in September and I made the following cards. We both had lots of fun and we'd love to be able to do it again. It is just a matter of having our husbands at home from work early enough for us to get there
.

I went to my very first Stampin' Up party today. It was a great morning and I made this card. I also spent a bit of money as I was so inspired. I bought just the necessities (well everything necessary when it comes to stamping and making cards).
I filled in my form to say that I wanted to host my own party which could be dangerous in itself but it will also be fun.

Welcome to my homemade cards site.
I make cards for fun and find it relaxing to just let the creativity flow. I scan them and put them right here on my website.
I hope you will like some of the cards you see here. I am happy to sell the cards that are my own creation. I can create similar looking cards, as each one is handmade and guaranteed to be original in some way they will never be 100% identical. I won't sell other peoples work of course but my own designs I'm happy to sell.
If you would like to purchase cards email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Enjoy browsing the site!
